Mountains 101 is a 12-lesson Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) through the University of Alberta teaching a comprehensive overview of Mountain Studies. Mountains 101 covers an interdisciplinary field of study focusing on the physical, biological, and human dimensions of mountain places in Alberta, Canada, and around the world.
This online course can be taken in three ways – for free, or for a certificate ($64 fee), or for University Credit (as INT D 280).
Mountains 101 has 12 lessons, so takes roughly 12 weeks to complete, but you can work faster if you choose.
